Binfield Lodge is an early 15th century hall house which was remodelled in the 18th century by the 2nd Earl of Chatham, John Pitt, and then further altered by English architect Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1912. Since 1966, the lodge has been on the National Heritage List for England.

The house is set within landscaped surroundings. I have designed and planted The Long Walk, South Terrace and developed The East Walk. The planting includes a considered mix of perennials, biennials, evergreens, annuals and bulbs. A palette of lavender and lilac, pale yellows and whites link the rooms of the garden which are divided by Beech and Box hedging. White Narcissus are followed by Camassias and Alliums and then Syringia and Cotinus and Hydrangeas to name a few plants. Since starting at Binfield Lodge I have added hundreds of Shrub, Climbing and Rambling Roses to the garden.
